FedExFamilyHouse is a hotel-type facility serving the families of patients at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the uniqueness of the facility and the families it serves. The caring, empathetic, nurturing candidate will have the best chance of securing this position. Cost control and guest service skills are mandatory, as well as the ability to screen and hire the right employees to staff the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments. Exceptional employee relations and supervisory skills necessary. Individual needs to have a strong knowledge of facility operations systems such as HVAC, plumbing, etc. Prior hotel management experience mandatory.

Supervises maintenance department in the upkeep and maintenance of the facility. Performs hands-on maintenance to include painting; light carpentry; light electrical; air conditioning/heating maintenance and repair; and performs preventive maintenance of facility according to company standards. Prior hotel maintenance experience to include heating and air conditioning; electrical; plumbing; carpentry; painting and wall repair; safety and security procedures and supervisory experience preferred. Must have experience with electronic lock systems and be a detailed record keeper. Successful candidate will possess great tact, diplomacy, empathy, and have a pleasant, friendly personality. Must have a keen eye for the upkeep and maintenance of the facility to ensure the utmost in safety for these special guests.
